The Big 3

#1) Reading Challenge

There will be a Summer Reading Challenge this year with Beginner, Junior, and Senior divisions. The Challenge will be from Memorial Day to Labor Day weekends. Packets can be picked up in the library on or after Sunday, May 23rd Reading can be started, and pages can start being counted on Sunday, May 30th. For adults who would like to participate with their children, see one of the librarians for a packet. All packets need to be returned to the church on September 5th.
 
 

#2) VBS Save the Date & Hidden Acres Registration

“Treasured” Vacation Bible School will take place at First E Free on Sunday, July 25th through Thursday, July 29th from 6:00pm-8:30pm. Ages 3 through 5th grade can attend. We will need lots of volunteers and we are looking forward to another year!
 
This summer we would also love to send as many students as possible to Hidden Acres, a fantastic Christian Camp in Dayton, Iowa. There are camps for many different age groups. The church is providing a $175 scholarship for any student who wants to attend. Contact the church office by May 15th to let them know if you want a scholarship. Please check out HACamps.org for more information and to  register your children.
 
 

#3) Women’s Ministries Discipleship Opportunities

Summer Bible Study:
Please join us for a 5-week summer Bible Study, “Ecclesiastes: Life Under the Sun” Precepts Method. If your summer schedule prevents an in-depth study, simply choose the "In and Out" selection which will allow you to skim the gems of this timely study and join the discussion to be held Thursday Mornings May 27th through June 24th from 9-11 AM. No childcare provided. (Precept Study $12, In and Out $10.)  Please register by May 16th! You may register 3 ways; email Mary Lynne, sign up in the foyer, or online here.
 
 
Women’s Ministry Summer Book Club:
Our book club read for the summer will be Idols of the Heart” by Elyse Fitzpatrick. We will meet Monday evenings, starting June 7th, from 7-8:30 pm. We will be meeting in person at FEFC but will happily include you on Zoom if you prefer. If you don’t have Amazon or need assistance ordering your book, please contact Mary Lynne to register or online here. Please read the intro and Chapter 1 for June 7th.
