Children’s Church Volunteers Needed

We are blessed to have over twenty children attending Children’s Church each week during the Sunday worship hour.  Due to this growing number, we are also in need of more adult volunteers to help the lead teacher. If you would be willing to help serve every 6-8 weeks, please contact in the office or Pastor Terry.

VBS Registration

“Monumental” Vacation Bible School will happen at First E Free on Sunday, July 24th through Thursday, July 28th from 6:00pm-8:30pm. Ages 3 through 5th grade are invited to attend. Registration is open now through June 13th for those who attend our church, Westside Christian, or Compassion Childcare. Registration then opens to friends in the community June 14th-June 30th. Hope to see you all there!

Summer Sunday School Starts 6/5!

Ages 2-5 Sunday School Classes:
This summer we will continue to offer Sunday school for children ages 2-5 in the Children’s Church room. This is in addition to Children’s Church during the first service. If you have kids who were in Kindergarten or above this last year, we encourage you to attend Pastor Dan’s Family Sunday School Class.
Family Sunday School:
This is a class for anyone from first grade through the most elderly among us. We will walk through twelve questions in the “New City Catechism”. This section of the catechism focuses on God’s law and His plan of redemption. Our time together should also help parents continue discipling their families in these truths throughout the rest of the week. Contact Pastor Dan with any questions. We are meeting downstairs in the youth room.
Adult Sunday School Class:
Daniel Block calls Deuteronomy “The Gospel  According to Moses.”  In many ways, Deuteronomy is not only the heart of the Old Testament, but expresses the heart of God so well that it forms the foundation for everything else that follows in scripture. Join us as we explore why Moses was the prophet whom Jesus was like (Deut. 18:15). Pastor Terry will lead this class on Deuteronomy in the Fellowship Hall.

Women’s Summer Options

Summer Bible Study:
Please join us for a four-week Bible Study, Obadiah/Joel Precepts Method. If your summer schedule prevents an in-depth study, simply choose the "In and Out" selection, which will allow you to skim the gems of this timely study and join the discussion to be held Thursday Mornings July 14th to August 4th from 9–11 am. No childcare provided. (Precept Study $12, In and Out $10.) Please register by June 12th! You may register online by using this link or email Mary Lynne
Summer Book Club:
Our book club read for the summer will be Closer Than a Sister: How Union with Christ Helps Friendships to Flourish by Christina Fox. We will meet Monday evenings, starting 6/6/22, from 7–8:30 pm. We will be meeting at church but will happily include you on Zoom if you prefer. If you need assistance ordering your book, please contact Mary Lynne. Feel free to Register online here.
