The Big 3

#1) 2020 Kids Bike Rodeo and Races

We need your help! On the morning of Saturday, August 8th, we’ll turn our back lawn into a race track and our parking lot into a 12-station kids bike rodeo. Friends, family, neighbors, and the Sioux Falls community are invited to join us for a wonderful morning of riding and racing, followed by lunch, bike giveaways, Gospel proclamation, and an invitation to explore matters of faith with our church. Please visit www.rodeoandraces.com for more information. To serve, please click this link or contact Suzanne Anderson (605-214-4237).

#2) Women’s Gathering/ Fellowship Night

Our next Women’s Gathering/ Fellowship night will be Thursday, August 6th at 7:00 pm at FEFC. This is meant to be a time of connection and spiritual encouragement. Our last Gathering Night was right before quarantine and makes our time together all the more precious. We will be watching the weather and will have a socially distanced appropriate gathering planned. Please plan to join us!

#3) Pray For Me Campaign

This fall the FEFC Youth Ministry is beginning the Pray For Me campaign. The goal of Pray for Me is to match our 6th-12th grade students with multiple “Prayer Champions.” A “Prayer Champion” is an adult in the congregation who commits to pray for one student for an entire school year. Each Prayer Champion will be given the name of a student, specific prayer requests, and a Prayer Guide to use in praying daily for their student. This ministry works to tighten the web of intergenerational relationships in our church and equips adults to pass along a life of faith to the next generation.

Please contact Pastor Dan ( ) if you would like to be a Prayer Champion or if you are a parent and want to make sure your 6th-12th grade student is matched with Prayer Champions.

First Free 411

Thank you: Dear Church Family, I want to thank you on behalf of Compassion Child Care and Compassion Preschool at Westside. Our church was so gracious to invite all the Compassion families, pay for t-shirts and CDs and help to fund the lunch program for the preschool at our church. The dollars, quarters, and dimes all combined for a huge $757.61! Our goal was $450 and that seemed like a stretch. We truly witnessed what it means to TRUST JESUS! God be praised. —Barry Termaat

Lifetouch Church Pictures: We are updating our church directory, so please make note of the following photography dates: August 19-22 and Sept 9-12. Please sign up for a slot by clicking on this link or call the church office at 605-338-2077 to get signed up! Thank you.

Bulletin Board Pictures: The FEF children and teachers enjoyed the week of Vacation Bible School in mid July.  Please see pictures of that week on the bulletin board across from the library.

“Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor.” (Rom. 12:10) We have many in our church family who are vulnerable to the novel coronavirus or cannot risk infection. If you are sick, please stay home and join our Sunday Morning Worship livestream. When you come to church, please wash your hands often, cover your cough, and maintain 6’ physical distance between families. We also encourage you to wear a mask anytime you cannot maintain 6’ physical distancing.
