#1) Mexico Mission 2018 - Meeting Today!

It is the 10th anniversary of the partnership between Petlapixca and FEFC. God willing, the dates for this year’s trip have been set at February 9-17. Please prayerfully consider coming, and please be thinking about who else YOU personally could invite to consider this opportunity. There will be an informational meeting for all those considering the trip today, Sunday, Dec. 17 at 11:30am in the coffee area. Please call or email Barry Termaat at 605-359-6819 or  with questions.

#2) Women’s Discipleship Opportunities

Thursday Mornings New/revised start date for women’s bible study is Thursday, January 11.

GRACE – A Bible Study on Ephesians for Women written by Keri Folmar. This 11-week study delves into the book of Ephesians where Paul lays a rock-solid foundation for a believers true identity in Christ. Together we will learn who and what we are in Christ, as well as praise God for what He planned in eternity past and desires to reveal to us now. We will discover how believers should embrace God’s grace in faith, live in light of what Christ has accomplished for us, and strive to be strong in the Lord by putting on his armor. Cost is $5.

Childcare will be provided up through age 5. Please sign up on the sheet in the foyer, by calling the church office or by emailing Mary Lynne Johnson.If registering children please indicate the names and ages of all children you plan to enroll in the nursery or childcare program. The deadline for registration is December 22. 

#3) Men's Discipleship Opportunities

Join other men to grow as disciples this winter! We are reading The Imperfect Disciple by Jared C. Wilson. Books will be available in lobby next week and cost is $12. There are currently three different groups meeting. If you are interested but none of these times work for you, please contact the church office.

Mondays (6:30 a.m.) at 57th/Cliff HyVee (Begins January 8th)

Wednesdays (noon) at Beef O'Brady's on 69th St (Begins January 3rd)

Saturdays (7 a.m.) at Josiah's Coffee (Begins January 6th)

 Allergy Notice

Due to severe peanut allergies in our congregation, we can absolutely have NO peanut products in our building. This applies to any day of the week and for any activity you may be attending in our building.

We have attendees with fragrance allergies. We have designated the first six rows of the left section of our sanctuary (as you look at the stage) for them. If you wear fragrances, we would appreciate you avoiding that area.

Parent Reading Group

A group of parents plan to read The Tech-Wise Family: Everyday Steps for Putting Technology in its Proper Place by Andy Crouch together and then meet to discuss it on Saturday, January 13. If you are interested in being a part of this group, please contact Pastor Dan. Copies of the book will be available for $10. 

Children’s Christmas program photos are on the bulletin board across from the library. Stop and take a look at them.
