Children's Christmas Program
Mark your calendars, the Children’s Christmas Program is scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 11th. This program is for children who are in preschool through 5th grade. The K-5 children will begin practicing on Sunday, Oct. 9th at 6pm in the Sanctuary. Rehearsals will be each Sunday evening from 6-7pm through December 4th. Please make every effort to have your child/children at these practices. We have a lot of music to learn in a short time! There will be a dress rehearsal for the K-5 children on Saturday, Dec. 10th from 9-11am. Please note that preschoolers DO NOT have extra rehearsals. They will practice during Sunday School. Please watch for more details in the coming weeks. More specific notes will be sent home with the children performing in the K-5 program. If you have questions or concerns, please call me, Sue Norberg, at 605-595-5660. We are looking forward to sharing the true meaning of Christmas in word and song! Thank you. -Sue Norberg

Operation Christmas Child
We are kicking things off starting today with Operation Christmas Child! There are several ways to participate:
1. Pack a shoebox. Boxes and instructions are provided at the display by the front doors. The deadline to return filled shoeboxes here at church is Sunday, November. 20th.
2. Sponsor a shoebox. You can do this by putting a check for $10.00 (per box shipping cost) payable to Samaritan's Purse in the container provided on the display table. Feel free to also visit the Samaritan's Purse website for instructions about sponsoring a virtual shoebox.
3. Pray. When the shoeboxes are delivered, Samaritan’s Purse coordinates with the local congregations and pastors to provide Bible lessons along with the shoebox gifts. Graduates of these classes receive Bibles in their own language.

Nomination Review Committee
Under our Church bylaws, we ask members each year for suggestions for new Elders, as well as open Deacon positions, which this year may include the Trustee Deacon and Missions Deacon. If you would like to suggest someone for consideration, please contact a member of the nominating committee by Sunday, October 30th. Nominating committee members are: Pastor Randy Anderson,  Lisa Soundy, Jean Bender, John Massa, Jeff Burch, Jared Fluth, and Scott Anderson.
