Announcements for September 30
Big 3
#1) Church Leadership Nominations
The Elder Board has formed a Nomination Committee for Church leadership positions for 2019. The committee is made up of the senior pastor, elder board chairman, an elder at large, two men with prior leadership positions, and two women with prior leadership positions. This year's committee will be Pastor Randy, John Massa, Brent Taubert, Lee DeLange, Ivan Voss, Lisa Soundy, and Jean Bender. There will be two elder positions open as both Barry Termaat and Brent Taubert are completing their terms this year. We will also be seeking a Trustee Deacon and Missions Deacon. There is a two week time frame beginning today, September 30, through Sunday, October 14, in which members of the congregation can nominate candidates for any of the above positions. If you want to make a nomination, please contact any member of the committee sometime over the next two weeks.
#2) Women’s Conference
The Women’s Ministries Fall Conference will be held Friday night, October 26, 2017 from 7pm-9pm, and Saturday, October 27, 2017 from 9am-2pm, at First E Free. The theme of the conference is “Christ, Our Indestructible Hope”. Jane Montgomery will be our guest speaker. Cost $25 for adults, young women 8th—12th grade may attend for free. Register in the lobby on Sunday October 7th, 14th, and 21st or in the office any time during the week. The conference is meant to be a time set aside from our daily activities and responsibilities for personal refreshment, relationship building and spiritual growth. We know you won’t want to miss this opportunity for teaching and connection.
#3) Children’s Christmas Program Practice
Program practice will start on Sunday, October 7 at 6pm. Please try to have your child attend as many practices as possible. The children will perform the program on December 9 starting with the prelude at 5:30pm.
Allergy Notice
Due to severe peanut allergies in our congregation, we can absolutely have NO peanut products in our building. This applies to any day of the week and for any activity you may be attending in our building.
We have attendees with fragrance allergies. We have designated the first six rows of the left section of our sanctuary (as you look at the stage) for them. If you wear fragrances, we would appreciate you avoiding that area.
