The new club year is off to a wonderful start! What a blessing God provided 10 new leaders for the program this year! Thank you to everyone who gives of their time and hearts each Wednesday night to minister to these precious children.

We are in the second year of the new T&T curriculum and are seeing a lot of great conversations around the tables with clubbers as we focus on one theme each night. The first unit of study has been “God is...” with topics such as God is Truth, God is All-Powerful, God is Everywhere and God is All-Knowing. Each night has one particular verse to memorize that emphasizes that attribute of God. (There are further verses to memorize for those clubbers who want to do more). Most of the handbook time is spent discussing those topics and the key verse which has led to a deeper discipleship time with the children.

All the clubs (Cubbies, Sparks and T&T) will participate in “Sharing is Caring” nights on November 1 and November 8. We will be collecting non-perishable items for the Union Gospel Mission. November 15 will be “Stock the Store” night. Clubbers can bring in good used toys from home that they no longer want or need and they will be placed in the Awana store in December. If you have items at home that you would like to donate please feel free to contact us. We always have a table for “mom” and “dad” items that clubbers can purchase for their parents and have wrapped up by our “wrappers” so the children can take them home and put them under the tree. It is so encouraging to see some clubbers come that night with a list of who they want to purchase gifts for with the “bucks” they have earned, not picking out anything for themselves. We will not be having club November 22.
