COVID-19 Update from First Evangelical Free Church

March 16, 2020 Update
Dear First Evangelical Free Church Family,
We are continuing to monitor the CDC and Sioux Falls Health Department information and recommendations related to the coronavirus (COVID-19).  We are aware that yesterday the CDC issued new guidance for large events and mass gatherings.  The CDC “recommends that for the next 8 weeks, organizers . . . cancel or postpone in-person events that consist of 50 people or more throughout the United States.”  There are some exceptions to this recommendation.  The CDC’s recommendations specifically for churches have not been updated to reflect a threshold of 50 people.  We are evaluating options for our church, and we will update you as soon as it is practical.
If you would like to help with those in need in Sioux Falls due to COVID-19, Corona Help Sioux Falls has been established by churches to help with deliveries, food distributions and other needs.  You can become part of a response team by signing up at
“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.  And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works” (Heb. 10:23-24).
In Christ,
Pastor Donn
